Agriculture is still one of the most important parts of
Tanzania’s economy. It helps people earn a living, adds to
the country’s income, and makes sure families have
enough food. But the main policy guiding this sector, the
National Agriculture Policy of 2013, is now outdated. It no
longer fits with the current situation, the new institutions,
or Tanzania’s development goals.
