Policy Brief: Efforts to Promote Agroforestry Practices in Tanzania
Agroforestry, which involves integrating trees into farming landscapes, offers transformative potential for smallholder farming in Tanzania. The Civic Social Protection Foundation (CSP), a technical partner of Vi Agroforestry, is actively advocating for agroforestry adoption through the Agroforestry for Sustainable Livelihoods and Biodiversity (ASILI-B) Programme. This initiative aims to foster sustainable livelihoods, food security, and biodiversity conservation. Globally, agroforestry is acknowledged as a means to achieve Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) like zero hunger, climate action, and life on land.
